CareCella Sparkling Pack is your less invasive alternative to Carbon Dioxide therapy. Carboxytherapy is a cosmetic procedure used for cellulite reduction, fine lines and wrinkles, alopecia, dark circles and skin rejuvenation. It is also used to increase poor blood circulation. Carbon Dioxide Therapy has started in the 1930s in French Spas as an infusion of Carbon Dioxide into the water. This in effect sped up wound healing. Carbon Dioxide has since been used in many applications in the field of aesthetics.
CareCella Sparkling offers an innovative way of infusing carbon dioxide into the deeper layer of the skin by using a gel and a mask sheet pack. When pressed together, CO2 bubbles form and are released into the skin. Since carbon dioxide reacts with water to form carbonic acid, there is a decrease in blood pH causing hemoglobin (red blood cells) to release oxygen into the tissues. This is called the "Bohr's Effect".

The increase of CO2 in turn increases the level of oxygen within the tissues because hemoglobin has less affinity to oxygen at higher carbon dioxide levels. Lower pH also dilates the precapillary arterioles which increases blood flow in the capillaries. Increased circulation and improvement in lymphatic drainage results. The lower pH also induces release of growth factors which also induce angiogenesis. Collagen synthesis is induced resulting in improvement in skin texture and tone.
